The Bennington Township Planning Commission Meeting was held on August 25, 2021.
Chair Russ Thomas called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm at the Township Hall.
Members Present: Russ Thomas, Donna Ash, Bill Nash, Frank Gregory, Larry Johnson and Jim Norder. Absent Dick Demerly
Moved by Frank Gregory to approve the meeting agenda, seconded by Larry Johnson. Motion carried.
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve the July 29, 2021 minutes, seconded by Jim Norder. Motion carried.

Donna Ash updated the Bennington Township Planning Commission Board on the issue of Eric Lemieux’s Lot Line Adjustment Application Number: PLLA21-025. She presented to the board a letter from Lynn D. Bowne, Bennington Township’s Attorney, stating the two properties in Eric Lemieux’s Application (#PLLA21-025) are not contiguous and are zoned differently (one is in a subdivision and zoned residential and the other is zoned A-2 Agriculture). Therefore the two properties are unable to be combined. At the Bennington Township Board’s meeting on August 2, 2021, the Township Board voted against approving Eric Lemieux’s Lot Line Adjustment Application Number: PLLA21-025. No action by the Bennington Township Planning Commission was taken.
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve Application for Land Division # PLD21-0028 by Shawnee Creek Farms, LLC of 5307 Morrice Rd., Owosso, MI 48867. Property owner is Shawnee Creek Farms, LLC of 5307 Morrice Rd., Owosso, MI 48867. Site location is Gale Rd., Morrice, MI 48857. Parent Parcel number is 010-25-400-001-02 in Bennington Township. Seconded by Frank Gregory. Motion carried. Donna Ash abstained.
