February 28, 2020
The Bennington Township Planning Commission Meeting was held on February 28, 2020.
Chair Russ Thomas called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm at the Township Hall.
Members Present: Russ Thomas, Donna Ash, Bill Nash, Larry Johnson and Dick Demerly.
Absent: Frank Gregory and Jim Norder.
Moved by Russ Thomas to approve the meeting agenda. Seconded by Larry Johnson. Motion carried.
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve the minutes for the January 30, 2020 meeting. Seconded by Dick Demerly. Motion carried.
No public comment
Donna Ash updated the Board on the Shiawassee County Planning Commission’s updating of the County’s Master Plan. Donna handed out an updated version of Chapter 3 – Goals & Objectives. No action by the Bennington Township Planning Commission is necessitated at this time.
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve the Lot Line Adjustment Certificate Application # PLLA20-005 by Leonard and Arlene Ash of 6490 S. M-52, Owosso, MI 48867. Parent Parcels: 010-21-200-005, 010-21-400-010 and 010-21-200-003-06 Bennington Township. Seconded by Bill Nash. Motion carried.
Donna Ash updated the Board on the Lake Manitou Association’s on going concern with the water Quality of Lake Manitou. Donna presented copies of a letter dated February 16, 2020 that she received from the Lake Manitou Association (Laurie Bateman, President and Fred Farkas, Secretary) addressing their concerns. No action taken.
Next meeting is March 26, 2020.
