The Bennington Township Planning Commission Meeting was held on August 29, 2019.
Chair Russ Thomas called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm at the Township Hall.
Members Present: Russ Thomas, Donna Ash, Bill Nash, Frank Gregory, Jim Norder and Dick Demerly. Absent Larry Johnson.
Moved by Frank Gregory to approve the meeting agenda. Seconded by Bill Nash. Motion carried.
Moved by Donna Ash to approve the minutes as printed for the May 30, 2019 meeting. Seconded by Dick Demerly. Motion carried.

The Board discussed the Marihuana Establishment Ordinance. No action taken.
The Board discussed the Proposed Ordinance Amendments to Article 16 of the Shiawassee County Zoning Ordinance. No action taken.
Moved by Frank Gregory to approve the Variance Request Application Request #PZBA19-021 b y Thomas & Shannon Hinterman. Site location is Cook Rd., Owosso, MI 48867; Tax ID# 010-12-200-001-02; Section 12, Bennington Township. Seconded by Jim Norder. Motion carried.
Moved by Dick Demerly to approve the Variance Request Application #PZBH19-024 by Maxwell Ellenberg. Site location is 2080 Pinetree Lane, Owosso, MI 48867; Tax ID# 010-15-400-001-11, Section 15, Bennington Township. Seconded by Frank Gregory. Motion carried.
The Board reviewed the Application Request #PSPR19-007 by SFM Leasing, LLC. Site location is Tyrell Road and M-52, Owosso, MI 48867. No action taken.
Donna Ash updated the Board on Shiawassee County’s ‘Notice of Intent to Update Shiawassee County’s Future Land Use Plan’. No action taken.
