The Bennington Township Planning Commission Meeting was held on May 30, 2019.
Chair Russ Thomas called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm at the Township Hall.
Members Present: Russ Thomas, Donna Ash, Bill Nash, Frank Gregory and Dick Demerly. Absent Jim Norder and Larry Johnson.
Moved by Frank Gregory to approve the meeting agenda. Seconded by Dick Demerly. Motion carried.
Moved by Dick Demerly to approve the minutes for the April 25, 2019 meeting. Seconded by Donna Ash. Motion carried.
No public comment
The Board discussed the Proposed Ordinance Amendments to Article 16 of the Shiawassee County Zoning Ordinance. The Board has some concerns with some of the proposed changes. The Board will further discuss these changes at the next meeting. No action taken.
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve Land Division Application #PLD19-009 by Cindy Garber of 3522 S. Friegel Rd., Owosso, MI 48867. Site Location is 3522 S. Friegel Rd., Owosso, MI 48867; Parent Parcel: 010-06-200-002, Bennington Township. Seconded by Bill Nash. Motion carried.
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve Land Division Application #PLD19-0014 by Connie Munsell-Ball of P.O. Box 372, New Lothrop, MI 48460. Property Owners are Richard Ball and Thomas Flynn. Site Location is 5370 W. Garrison Rd., Laingsburg, MI 48848. Parent Parcels are 010-07-400-003 & 010-07-300-001 of Bennington Township. Seconded by Frank Gregory. Motion carried.
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve Variance Request #PZBA 19-011 by Mark Agnew. Owner is Brandon Lepior. Site location is 3219 S. M-52, Owosso, MI 48867; Tax ID#: 010-03-100-007; Section 3, Bennington Township. Seconded by Jim Norder. Motion carried with Frank Gregory voting no.
