The Bennington Township Planning Commission Meeting was held on January 31, 2019. Chair Russ Thomas called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm at the Township Hall.
Members Present: Russ Thomas, Jim Norder, Donna Ash, Bill Nash, Larry Johnson and Dick Demerly. Absent Frank Gregory.
Moved by Russ Thomas to approve the meeting agenda. Seconded by Larry Johnson. Motion carried.
Moved by Larry Johnson to approve the minutes for the December 27, 2018 meeting. Seconded by Dick Demerly. Motion carried.

Moved by Larry Johnson to remove from the table the Variance Request Application # PZBA18-020 by Brian Harmon of 3821 W. Bennington Rd., Owosso, MI 48867. Seconded by Bill Nash. Motion carried.
The Board reviewed Variance Request Application # PZBA18-020 by Brian Harmon of 3821 W. Bennington Rd., Owosso, MI 48867. The Board would have appreciated more information that was not forth coming. Extensive discussion followed but without additional information no action was taken. Members of the Bennington Township Planning Commission will attend the meeting of the Shiawassee County Zoning Board of Appeals on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 7:00pm to express the Bennington Township Planning Commission’s concern.
Moved by Larry Johnson to table the Variance Request Application # PZBA18-021 by Jolene Harris of 6559 S. Delaney Rd., Owosso, MI 48867, to allow a residential accessory structure that encroaches the required ten (10) feet side lot line setback requirements, due to the lack of information regarding clarification of lot lines and survey certificate. Seconded by Jim Norder.
Next meeting is February 28, 2019.
Moved by Dick Demerly to adjourn the meeting at 8:31 pm. Seconded by Larry Johnson. Motion carried.
