The Bennington Township Planning Commission Meeting was
held on June 25, 2009.
President Rod Harmon called the meeting to order at
7:00 pm.
Members present: Bernie Scollan, Dick Demerly, Al Dutcher, Rod Harmon, and Rusty Thomas.
Moved by Dick Demerly to accept Minutes of May 28, 2009, with a correction that Rusty Thomas was nominated to fill a vacancy on the Bennington Township Planning Commission, not the Shiawassee County Planning Commission. Seconded by Bernie Scollan. Motion carried.

The Old Business:
Campgrounds: Al Dutcher moved to approve the text amendment concerning campgrounds to the 1999 Shiawassee zoning ordinance as amended. This is approved providing that they make proofreading corrections to the amendment. It was seconded by Rusty Thomas. Motion Carried.
Ed Louch Special Use Permit: It is assumed that the Special Use Permit has been approved by the County due to the fact that we have not received a notice of any more problems, and the business is still operating.
New Business:
Shiawassee Township Plan: The new Shiawassee Township Plan was discussed. Rod Harmon moved to table any action on that Plan, and to try to get copies of their Plan for our next meeting. Dick Demerly seconded the motion. Motion Carried.
The next meeting of the Bennington Township Planning Commission will be July 30, 2009.
Moved by Al Dutcher to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Bernie Scollon. Motion carried.
