BENNINGTON TOWNSHIP
Regular Board Meeting

 

The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on October 3, 2022, 7:00 pm, at the Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Matt Dutcher, Lee Ash, Cody Baker, Donna Ash.

Forsythe moved to approve the agenda as printed. Second by Dutcher. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the September 6, 2022 regular board meeting as printed. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Second by Baker. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to pay bills as printed in the amount of $19,628.61. Second by Baker. All board members in favor. Motion carried.

Public Comment: None

Board Reports:
Library – report on file
Plan Comm – No meeting
Roads – L. Ash – Projects are now complete.

Old Business:
Township Park

• Fence – Baker moved to accept the bid from Spartan Fence to construct 2200 feet of spit rail fencing at a cost of $30,000. Second by Forsythe. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
• Trails – One bid received will try to obtain more.
• Tree Trimming – will obtain bid for removal of brush as needed to construct trail.

New Business:
Plan Comm Appointment – L. Ash moved to appoint Tom Runyan to the Township Planning Commission to fill a remainder of a term ending April 2024. Second by Dutcher. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Assessor – Letter received from Department of Treasury regarding the Township Certification Level Requirements for assessing.  Assessor Stead was present to discuss the concerns.

Forsythe moved to adjourn. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.
