The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on April 4, 2021, 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.
Present: Matt Dutcher, Lee Ash, Cody Baker, Donna Ash.
Not Present: Jim Forsythe
L. Ash moved to approve the agenda as printed. Second by Dutcher Motion carried.
Dutcher moved to approve the minutes as printed for the March 1, 2021 regular board meeting and the March 16, 2021 special board meeting as printed. Second by Baker. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Second by Baker. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
Dutcher moved to approve payment of bills as presented in the amount of $48,997.92. Second by Baker. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
Michael Ardelean, Battalion Chief, Owosso Charter Township Fire Department, gave an update.
Cindy Garber, County Commissioner, gave an update.
Board Reports:
Library – Garber – Updated the board with the progress of the new director.
Plan Comm – D. Ash – Recommended approval of one lot line adjustment application.
Roads – L. Ash – Dutcher moved to approve 2021 road improvement projects at a cost of ~134,691.25. Second by Baker. All board members present in favor. Motion carried. Projects are as follows:
Scratch Course: Friegel Rd.- Brewer Rd. to Garrison Rd.
Gravel: Ruess Rd. – Brewer Rd. to Grand River Rd.
Gravel: MeClelan Rd. & Grant Street
Gravel: Etta Rd. – Ruess Rd to the dead end
Gravel: Miller Rd. – Ruess Rd. to M52 (cost share with Perry Twp)
Mineral Well Brine – Two applications

New Business:
Budget Changes – Dutcher moved to amend the 2020-2021 budget by moving $100 from 101-265-930, Building Repairs & Maintenance, to 101-265-970, Building Capital Outlay, and to amend the 2021 -2022 budget by increasing 101-000-690, Prior Year Funds, to a total of $340,000 and increasing 101-265-970, Building Capital Outlay, to a total of $220,000. Second by L. Ash. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to adjourn. Second by Baker. Motion carried.
