October 5, 2020
The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on October 5,2020, 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Matt Dutcher, Lee Ash, Cody Baker, Donna Ash.
Forsythe moved to approve the agenda as printed. Second by Dutcher. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the September 1, 2020 regular board meeting as printed. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the Ambulance Special Assessment minutes held on September 14, 2020 for both SSESA and MMR as printed. Second by Dutcher. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $124,152.51. Second by Dutcher. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
Co Comm Cindy Garber- Updated the board on county activities.
Library – Cindy Garber- Currently seeking a new director.
Owosso Township Fire- Chief David Johnson gave a report.
Board Reports:
Plan Comm. - D. Ash – No meeting for September.
Roads – L. Ash – All projects are completed. Working on obtaining tree trimming bids.

New Business:
Township Property – Dutcher moved to accept the Agreement of the Sale and Purchase of Real Estate from Kathryn Demoran, parcel #010-15-300-003, 5751 S. M-52, Owosso, and purchase property for the Township at a cost of $215,000.00. Second by Baker. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Snow Plow Contract – L. Ash moved to accept the snow plow contract from Twinoaks Mowing and Snowplowing at the same rate as last year, $80 per plow at 2”, $130 per plow over 6”, additional plowing at $45 per hour, salting at $105 per application or $15 per bag. Second by Forsythe. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Executive Order – Supreme Court Ruling – Dutcher moved to reconfirm all business transacted at the meetings held on May 4, 2020 and June 1, 2020 via teleconference. Second by Forsythe. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Budget Review/Adjustments – No action taken.
Public Comment:
G & W’s Family Lawncare Service present to ask about their services.
Forsythe moved to adjourn. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.
