BENNINGTON TOWNSHIP
Regular Board Meeting

The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on August 3, 2020, 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.

Present: James Forsythe, Matt Dutcher, Lee Ash, Cody Baker, Donna Ash.

Forsythe moved to approve the agenda as printed. Second by Dutcher. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the July 6, 2020 regular meeting as printed. Second by Dutcher. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the treasurer’s report as presented. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $25,943.38. Second by Baker. All board members in favor. Motion carried.

Public Comment:
P. Dunsmora – Interested in purchasing property that the Township owns.
Garber – County Commissioner report and library update.

Board Reports:
Plan Comm. – D. Ash – Recommended approval of one variance request and one land division and reappointment of one member.

• Dutcher moved to concur with the Planning Commission and approve variance request #PZBA20-008 for Robin Lyon to permit the construction of an accessory structure with a sidewall height of 13’ which exceeds the maximum sidewall height requirement of 10’ for residential accessory structures located in the front yard at 1378 W. Garrison Rd., parcel #010-11-400-001-01. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
• Forsythe moved to concur with the Planning Commission and approve land division application #PLD20-0020 for Benjamin Stevens, parcel #010-19-100-001-01. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
• Forsythe moved to reappoint James Norder to the Planning Commission for a three year term expiring April 2023. Second by Dutcher. All board members in favor. Motion carried.

Roads – L. Ash – Update regarding road projects.

Old Business:
Hall Parking Lot – Forsythe moved to accept the proposal from Cordier Excavating to repair a section of the parking lot at a cost of $9,675.00. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Ambulance Special Assessment – Language is ready to be printed.

New Business:
Office Software – BS&A – Dutcher moved to accept the proposal from BS&A Software for software installation and training for a cost not to exceed $21,080.00. Second by Baker. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to purchase three new computers for the township at a cost not to exceed $5,000.00. Second by Baker. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to adjourn. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.
