January 6, 2020
The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on January 6, 2020, 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Matt Dutcher, Lee Ash, Cody Baker, Donna Ash.
Forsythe moved to approve the agenda with the addition of Election Equipment. Second by Dutcher. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the December 2, 2019 regular board meeting as printed. Second by Baker. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $20,141.34. Second by Dutcher. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Shiawassee County Road Commission – Managing Director Brent Friess gave a report including the recommended projects for the Township for 2020. Present also were Road Commissioners Mike Constine, John Michalec, and Ric Crawford; and Superintendent of Operations Troy Howes.
Public Comment:
MMR – Presented a report.
Co Comm Garber – Gave an update.
Kirk Norton – G&W’s Family Lawncare LLC – Inquired about the 2020 Lawncare Bids.
Board Reports:
Library – C. Garber – Gave an update.
Plan Comm – D. Ash – Approved one Lot Line Adjustment and approved the 2020 Planning Commission meetings for the last Thursday of each month expect for November and December when meetings will be the third Thursday.
Roads – L. Ash – Review projects to discuss at next meeting.

New Business:
Election Equipment – Clerk D. Ash spoke to the board about the purchase of an additional ballot tabulator for the Township. Will get a quote for the next meeting.
Forsythe moved to adjourn. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.
