The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on December 3, 2018, 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.
Present: Matt Dutcher, Cindy Garber, Lee Ash, Nancy Zdunic, Donna Ash.
L. Ash moved to approve the agenda as printed. Seconded by Dutcher. Motion carried.
Zdunic moved to approve the minutes for the November 5, 2018 regular board meeting as printed. Seconded by Garber. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Seconded by Dutcher. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Dutcher moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $24,236.61. Seconded by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Public Comment: None
Board Reports:
Library – Garber – Employees requesting a 2% raise.
Plan Comm – D. Ash – Reviewed two land divisions. Approved the 2019 Planning Commission meetings for the last Thursday of each month except October which is the 4th Thursday, and November and December which are the 3rd Thursday. All meeting are at 7:00pm at the Township Hall.
Roads – L. Ash – There will be a road meeting on December 11 at the Road Commission.

New Business:
Insurance Renewal – Zdunic moved to renew the insurance for the Township with Burnham & Flower at a cost of $6,444. Seconded by Garber. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Annual Meeting – Dutcher moved to adopt a resolution to abolish the Annual Meeting. Seconded by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried. (Complete wording of the resolution available at the Township Hall.)
Treasurer Resignation – Dutcher moved to accept the resignation from Treasurer Cindy Garber effective December 31, 2018 and congratulate her on her future position with the County. Seconded by Zdunic. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Treasurer Appointment – Trustee Matt Dutcher stated he would be willing to serve as Treasurer for the remainder of the term. L. Ash moved to appoint Matt Dutcher as Township Treasurer for the remainder of the term beginning January 1, 2019. Seconded by D. Ash. L. Ash- yes, Dutcher – yes, Zdunic – no, D. Ash – yes, Garber – no eligible to vote. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to accept the resignation from Trustee Matt Dutcher effective December 31, 2018. Seconded by Garber. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to adjourn. Seconded by Dutcher. Motion carried.
