February 5, 2018
The Bennington Regular Board Meeting was called to order by Clerk Donna Ash on February 5, 2018, 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.
Present: Matt Dutcher, Cindy Garber, Donna Ash.
Not Present: Lee Ash, Nancy Zdunic.
Garber moved to appoint Matt Dutcher as chairperson of the meeting. Seconded by D. Ash. Motion carried.
D. Ash moved to approve the agenda as printed. Seconded by Garber. Motion carried.
Garber moved to approve the minutes for the January 8, 2018 regular board meeting as printed. Seconded by Dutcher. Motion carried.
D. Ash moved to accept the Treasurer’s report as presented. Seconded by Dutcher. Motion carried.
Dutcher moved to approve payment of bills as presented in the amount of $19,491.66. Seconded by Garber. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
Mike Thornburg and Dan Summers present from Owosso Charter Twp Fire to give an update.

Library – Garber – Update
Plan Comm – D.Ash – Currently working on the Land Use Plan Update.
Old Business:
Hall Rental Policy for Clubs – No action taken
New Business:
2018 Mowing Prices - D. Ash moved to accept the lawn mowing proposal from Munro Enterprise for the 2018 mowing season to maintain the cemetery lawns at a cost of $325/mowing, hall lawn $115/mowing, rolling cemeteries $325, rolling hall $115, and spring clean up $800. Seconded by Dutcher. Motion carried.
SATA Ballot Proposal – Dutcher moved to have the Township attorney put together the ballot wording for the SATA millage. Seconded by Garber. Motion carried.
Annual Meeting Date – Dutcher moved to hold the Township Annual Meeting on March 28, 2018 at 7:00pm with the Budget Hearing immediately following at the Township Hall. Seconded by Garber. Motion carried.
Salary Resolution – Dutcher moved to adopt a resolution to establish township official salary increase in an amount determined by the Township residents at the Annual Meeting to be held on March 28, 2018. Second by Garber. Roll call vote: Garber- yes, D. Ash- yes, Dutcher- yes, Lee Ash and Zdunic not present. Motion carried. (Complete wording of resolution available at the Township Hall)
Cemetery Sexton Burial Pay – Dutcher moved to approve wages for the Cemetery Sexton at a rate of $100.00 per burial. Seconded by D. Ash. Motion carried.
