The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on February
1, 2016, 7:00pm
at the Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Cindy

Ash moved to approve the
agenda with additions.
Second by Forsythe.
Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the January 4,
2016 regular board meeting as printed with resolutions. Second by Garber. All board
members present in favor.
Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the Treasurer's report as presented. Second by L. Ash.

Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of
$18,729.29. Second by L.
Ash. All board

Operating Millage - Forsythe moved to place an operating millage for the Township on the August 2016 ballot in the amount of one
mill for twenty year with collection to begin Winter of 2017. Second by
L. Ash.

Ambulance Assessment
- Forsythe
moved to have a public hearing for an Ambulance Special Assessment on
Wednesday,
September 14,
2016 at 7:00pm for
the households south of Garrison Road covered by SSESA and 7:30pm for households
north of Garrison Road at the Township Hall
covered by Owosso Township, the Special Assessment will be for a term of
four years at a
rate
of $45.00 per household for the area coved by SSESA and $30.00 per household
for the area covered by Owosso Township. Second by Garber.
All board members present in favor.
Motion carried.
Salary Resolution - L. Ash moved
to adopt a resolution to establish township official
salary increase in an amount determined by the Township residents
at the Annual Meeting
to be held on March 30,

Meeting Dates - Forsythe moved to set the regular meeting dates for the first Monday of each month at 7:00pm with the
exception of July
11, September 1, and
January 9 and present the dates at the Annual meeting. Second
by L.
Ash. All board
members in favor. Motion carried.
Annual Meeting - Forsythe moved to have an annual meeting for
2016 to be held on March 30,
2016 at 7:00pm at
the Township Hall with the budget hearing immediately following.

Consumers Energy - Tentative costs were
received from Consumers Energy to install additional street
lights and to remove some existing street lights. L.
Ash will try to contact residents in the areas of consideration
for their opinions.
Monroe Lawn Service
- L.
Ash moved to accept the extended lawn maintenance agreement from
Monroe Enterprise for 2016 to maintain the
cemeteries lawns at a cost of $325/week, Hall lawn $75/week,
rolling cemeteries $325, rolling
hall $75,
spring clean up $800.
Second by Forsythe. All board members present in favor. Motion
carried.
Habitat For Humanity
- Nancy
Zdunic has volunteered to serve as the Township representative.
