The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on September 6, 2011, 7:00pm at the Township Hall.
Present: Cindy Garber, Lee Ash, Nancy Zdunic, Donna Ash. Jim Forsythe arrived at 7:00pm.
L. Ash moved to approve the agenda as printed. Second by Garber. Motion carried.
Zdunic moved to approve the minutes for the August 1, 2011 regular board meeting as printed. Second by Garber. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Second by Zdunic. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
Zdunic moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $24,039.74. Second by L. Ash. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.

Board Reports:
Library- E. Humphrey- Minutes on file.
Plan Comm- D. Ash- The board decided to do a five year update on the Land Use Plan with amendments for the 2010 Census information, the Agricultural Census information and Floodplain information.
Reviewed the Floodplain information. Forsythe moved to concur with the Planning Commission and adopt the Michigan Community Resolution of Intent for Participating in the National Flood Insurance Program, the Ordinance Addressing Floodplain Management Provisions of the State Construction Code (Ordinance # 11-09-01), and the Community Resolution and Intergovernmental Agreement for The National Flood Insurance Program. Second by Garber. All board members in favor. Motion carried. (Complete wording of all items are available at the Township Hall.) Zdunic moved to submit the Application For Participation in the National Flood Insurance Program. Second by Forsythe. All board members in favor. Motion carried.

Unfinished Business:
Copy Machine- Reviewed the information that was obtained regarding a copy machine.
New Business:
Cemetery Bench Request- Zdunic moved to allow the Klapko family to place a bench in Oakwood Cemetery at the foot of their two spaces, because there is room there because of the walkway, with the bench being placed on a footing at the family expense and the Township reserves the right to remove the bench at any time if it becomes in disrepair. Second by Forsythe. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Propane Prices- Ferrellgas- $2.14/gal, Applebees- $2.059/gal, Lansing Ice & Fuel- $2.158/gal, Blight Oil and Propane- $2.049. Forsythe moved to contract 2500 gallons of propane with Blight Oil and Propane at a price of $2.049/gal. Second by L. Ash. All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to adjourn. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried.
