The Bennington Township Board Meeting was called to order by Clerk Donna Ash on February 7, 2011, 7:00pm, at the Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Cindy. Garber, Donna Ash.
Forsythe moved to appoint Donna Ash to chair the meeting in the absence of the Supervisor. Second by Garber. Motion carried.
Garber moved to approve the agenda as printed. Second by Forsythe. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the minutes for the January 3, 2011 regular board meeting with corrections. Second by Garber. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to approve the Treasurer's report as presented. Second by D. Ash. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $88,092.84. Second by Garber. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
John Hurd- The light for the flag is not working.
Dave Johnson- Owosso Fire Chief- Received grant money for dry hydrants.
Looking to glace one within Bennington Township.
Deputy Sheriff Duffield- Report on file.
Board Reports:
Library-Humphrey- Minutes on file.
Plan Cornm- D. Ash- Discussed cell tower.
Roads- Need to setup a meeting.
Web Page' Forsythe- Update.
Unfinished Business:
SSESA Contract, Contract has not been received.
New Business:
Lake Manitou Letter- Letter received in regards to roads which need improvement within the subdivision. Letter will be reviewed at the road meeting.
Dave & Donna List Letter- Letter received in regards to fixing Waugh Road as soon as possible. Letter will be reviewed at the road meeting.
Debelak Hall Rental- Church seeks to rent the hall
every Sunday. Rental is available with the same rules as everyone else.
Township cannot guarantee all Sundays without payment in advance and many
Sundays are already rented for the year.
Road Meeting-Forsythe moved to have a special meeting
on February 24, 2011 at 3:00pm at the Township Hall with an agenda of 2011
Road Improvement Projects. Second by D. Ash. Motion carried.
Annual Meeting- Forsythe moved to hold the Annual Meeting on March 30, 2011
at 7:00pm at the Township Hall with the Budget Hearing immediately
following. Second by D. Ash. Motion carried.

Year End Meeting- D. Ash moved to have a special meeting on March 30, 2011
at 10:00am at the Township Hall with an agenda of Fiscal Year End Bills.
Second by Forsythe. Motion carried.
