The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on October 6, 2008, 7:00pm at the Bennington Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Nancy Zdunic, Lee Ash, Gerald Sayles, Donna Ash.
Sayles moved to approve the agenda as printed. Second by Forsythe. Motion carried.
Zdunic moved to approve the minutes for September 2, 2008 regular board meeting as printed. Second by L. Ash. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Sayles moved to approve the minutes for the September 10, 2008 Ambulance Special Assessment Hearings for SSESA and Owosso Township as printed. Roll call vote: All board members in favor . Motion carried.
Zdunic moved to approve the minutes for the September 24, 2008 special board meeting as printed. Second by Sayles. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Second by Sayles. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Sayles moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $152,624.69. Second by Forsythe. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.

Ambulance/Fire- SSESA- August report on file.
Library- B. Adcock- Minutes for September 24, 2008 on file.
Plan Comm- D. Ash- The County approved the SUP for Hafner. Four members will be attending the Wind Energy Meeting.
Roads- L. Ash- Update on projects. Requested that the gravel roads be graded. The brush spraying will not be done this year because of the time of the year. The crack seal should be completed soon. Forsythe moved to pay the bill from Shia Co Road Comm as presented in the amount of $12,718.75 for the gravel on Baldwin Road. Second by L. Ash. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried. Sayles moved to pay the bill from the Shia Co Road Comm as presented in the amount of $125,979.40 for the paving of Brewer Road. Second by Forsythe. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.

Unfinished Business:
Outdoor Burner Ordinance- A copy was given to H. Sparks for the county to review.
SATA- Larry Alpert- Presentation- Will check with the SATA board on zones and the ability to join two zones.
New Business:
Grad All Agreement- Zdunic moved to accept the agreement with the Shia. Co. Road Comm. for Bennington Township to participate in the purchase of a Grad All in the amount of $14,206.25, to be paid in six annual installments of $2,367.71. Second by Sayles. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Snow Removal- Obtain bids for snow removal for the hall parking lot and cemetery drives. (see separate notice)
MTA Annual- D. Ash moved to pay for the current board and the newly elected board and the assessor to attend the MTA annual dinner at a cost of $11.00 per person. Second by L. Ash. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Zdunic moved to adjourn. Second by Forsythe. Motion carried.
