Lynn Bowne, Township Attorney
Homeowners Present: Frank Gregory, Robert Ware and John Hurd.
No correspondence was received regarding this meeting from homeowners.
Mr. Hurd asked why there was a difference in cost for the two sides of the Township. The board responded by indicating that this was the fee that the two different services charged. Due to the response time that each service was able to provide the Township is split in half at Garrison Rd.
Mr. Hurd asked if this assessment fell under the same rules as the Perry Township Ambulance Special Assessment. Mr. Bowne responded that Municipalities are allowed to Special Assess for Ambulance Service as long as the guidelines for Special Assessments was followed.
Mr. Gregory asked if this was one payment a year. Ms. Zdunic responded that the Special Assessment was paid once a year on your winter taxes.
Mr. Hurd asked how many runs did the ambulance provide to the Township that were to houses not to traffic accidents. The township did not have a breakdown of these runs.
Mr. Gregory stated that if the Township was going to contract with these entities the Township should request a representative attend the Board meeting for updates and to answer questions.
Mr. Gregory indicated that he did not like paying more than the other side of the Township however $4/month was not a lot of money.
