The Bennington Township regular board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on September 2, 2008, 7:00pm at the Bennington Township Hall.
Present: Jim Forsythe, Nancy Zdunic, Lee Ash, Gerald Sayles, Donna Ash.
Sayles moved to approve the agenda as presented. Second by Forsythe. Motion carried.
Sayles moved to approve the Minutes for August 8, 2008 regular board meeting as printed. Second by Zdunic. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Sayles moved to approve the Minutes for August 13, 2008 special board meeting as printed. Second by Zdunic. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Sayles moved to accept the Treasurers report as presented. Second by Forsythe. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Sayles moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $20,904.99. Second by Zdunic. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Comments from floor:
Tony Newman- Candidate for Shiawassee County Drain Commissioner.
Frank Gregory- Would like the board to institute a plan for all finances to be done at the Township hall and not at an individuals home along with a obtaining a post office box to receive funds.

SSESA- Report on file.
Library- B. Adcock- Minutes on file.
Plan Comm- D. Ash- Approve one land division for Richard Hafner. Forsythe moved to concur with the Planning Commission and approve one land division lot #15 for Richard Hafner on 010-15-400-001 and revise the lot lines on parcels 1, 2, 3, and 17. Second by Sayles. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.

Roads- L. Ash- Sayles moved to pay the bill for gravel on Ruess Rd at a final cost of $10,169.71. Second by Forsythe. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried. Forsythe moved to pay the bill for Ruess Rd reconstruction at a final cost of $105,500.00. Second by Zdunic. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Unfinished Business:
Outdoor Burner Ordinance- Co Comm not present for the Board to request that she review and perhaps have the County put an ordinance in place.
SATA- L. Ash will check with SATA on the current Zones and the possibility of changing zones.
New Business:
Propane Bids- Four bids were received: Lansing Ice & Fuel- $2.298/gal, Ferrellgas- $2.299/gal, Applebee’s- $2.159/gal, Blight- $2.269/gal. Sayles moved to accept the bid from Applebee’s at a cost of $2.159/gal pre buy and to purchase 2000 gallons. Second by Forsythe. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.
Forsythe moved to adjourn. Second by Zdunic. Motion carried.
