The Bennington Township Annual Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on March 31, 2008, 7:00pm at the Bennington Township Hall.

Present: Board Members- Lee Ash, Nancy Zdunic, Gerald Sayles, Donna Ash.

Attorney Lynn Bowne

Residents- Dick Lucas, Frank Gregory, Paul Zdunic, Allan Dutcher, Robert Schoch.

Non-residents- Guy Hubbard, Julia Heilig.

Sayles move to approve the agenda as printed.  Second by Zdunic.  Motion carried.

Sayles moved to approve the minutes for the March 29, 2007 Annual Meeting as printed.  Second by Zdunic.  Roll call vote: All board members present in favor.  Motion carried.

Supervisor Comments- Lee Ash- Year End Report of Township Activities.  Bennington Township has a Taxable Value increase of $3,759,117 and an Assessed Value increase of $1,789.900.  There were 15 new parcel and 4 new homes.  The hall was rented 87 times.

Board Reports:

SSESA- Guy Hubbard- Report on file.  March 2007 to Feb 2008 there were 23 fire calls, 21 MFR, 32 ALS, 28 BLS, and 14 no transports. 

Library- Frank Gregory- Report on file.  Steve Flayer is the new director.  Approximately 50% of the Township residents have library cards.  The current budget is $914,000.  Total liability/assets of $1,374,540. 

Plan Comm- Robert Schoch- Took action on 6 division application resulting in 16 in parcels.  Reviewed four county text amendments.

New Business:

Township Bd Salary Resolution - Resident Robert Schoch moved to accept the Township resolution for a salary increase determined by the residents at a 5% increase for all board members (corrected 3/31/09) for fro the 2008-2009 fiscal year.   Second by Resident Dick Lucas.  Hand Vote: In favor 6, Opposed- 0, Motion carried. 

2008-2009 Regular Meeting Dates were presented to residents.  Sayles moved to accept the 2008-2009 regular meeting dates for the first Monday of each month unless Monday is a legal holiday then the meeting will be held on the first available day.  Second by Zdunic.  Motion carried.

2009 Annual Meeting- Sayles moved to have an annual meeting for 2009.  Second by D. Ash.  Roll call vote:   All board members present in favor.  Motion carried.
