The Bennington Township Regular Board meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on January 7, 2008, 7:00pm at the Bennington Township Hall.
Present: Nancy Zdunic, Lee Ash, Gerald Sayles, Donna Ash. Not Present: Ray Wirth.
Sayles moved to approve the agenda as printed. Second by Zdunic. Motion carried.
Zdunic moved to approve the minutes for the December 3, 2007 as printed. Second by Sayles. Roll call vote: All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
L. Ash moved to approve the Treasurer’s report as presented. Second by Sayles. Roll call vote: All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
Sayles moved to pay bills as presented in the amount of $63,678.02. Second by Zdunic. Roll call vote. All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR:
H. Sparks- Co. Comm. Update.
Nancy Lynn- Concerned with the drainage on the corner of Bennington Rd. and Ruess Rd. This will be looked at in the spring.
BOARD REPORTS:
Sheriffs Dept- C. Carson- Update. Report on file.
Ambulance/Fire- SSESA- Report on file.
Library- F. Gregory- Report on file.
Plan Comm- D. Ash- No meeting.
Roads- L. Ash- A special meeting has been scheduled for February 11, 2008 at 1:30 pm to discuss the 2008 road improvement projects.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS:
Shiawassee Economic Development- Request for a monetary commitment over the next five years toward the J.O.B.S. campaign. The board will request that a member of the SEDP come to the next board meeting to discuss how these monies will be spent.
Board of Review Training- Zdunic moved to send three members of the Board of Review to training at a total cost of $210.00. Second by Sayles. Roll call vote: All board members present in favor. Motion carried.
PMSA Purchase Agreement- Bennington Township has been presented with a Purchase Agreement for the PMSA Building. The agreement was discussed and the board will meet with Woodhull Twp to make a decision.
Sayles moved to adjourn. Second by L. Ash. Motion carried. Adjournment at 8:10pm.
