The Bennington Township Annual Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Lee Ash on March 29, 2007, 7:00pm at the Bennington Township Hall.
Present: Ray Wirth, Nancy Zdunic, Lee Ash, Gerald Sayles, Donna Ash.
Attorney Lynn Bowne
Residents- Dick Lucas, Robert Ware, Jackie Wirth, Paul Zdunic, Wayne Johnson, Bernie Scollon, Bill Nash, Robert Schoch, Jim Forsythe.
Non-residents- Guy Hubbard.
Sayles moved to approve the agenda as printed. Second by Zdunic. Motion carried.
Zdunic moved to approve the minutes for the March 30, 2006 Annual Meeting as printed. Second by Sayles. Motion carried.
Supervisor Comments- Year End Report of Township Activities. Bennington Township had a Taxable Value increase of $6,224,394 and an Assessed Value increase of $10,485,600. There were 77 new parcels and 11 new houses.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None
BOARD REPORTS:
Planning Commission: Robert Schoch, Chairman- Approved 33 land divisions and reviewed 6 text amendments from the County approving 3.
SSESA: Guy Hubbard, Chief- Currently running two station, Perry and Morrice, using ten fire trucks.
Web Site: Jim Forsythe- Web site has been up for seven months and increases in use every month.
NEW BUSINESS:
Township Board Salary Resolution- Resident Dick Lucas commented that the Board should receive and increase of at least the rate of inflation. Resident Jim Forsythe moved to accept the Township resolution for a salary increase determined by the residents at a 3% increase for all board members for the 2007-2008 fiscal year. Second by Resident Paul Zdunic. Hand vote: In favor - 7, Opposed - 3, Motion carried.
2007-2008 Regular Meeting Dates were presented to residents. Wirth moved to accept the 2007 - 2008 regular meeting dates for the first Monday of each month unless Monday is a legal holiday then the meeting will be held on the first available day. Second by Sayles. Motion carried.
2008 Annual Meeting- D. Ash moved to have an annual meeting for 2008. Second by Sayles. Roll call vote: All board members in favor. Motion carried.

COMMENTS FROM FLOOR:
Jackie Wirth- Would like the Township to consider dropping the 1% Administration Fee. Mrs. Wirth also asked how much money the Township paid to the library last year. Zdunic state the Township paid the library $ 106,930.94 not including penal finds.
Attorney Lynn Bowne- Available to field Questions pertaining to the Township.
Sayles moved to adjourn. Second by Wirth. Motion carried.
